You know what? I wonder if I ever did read a LOTR fanfiction. I was an avid fanfic reader back in the teen years, but it was mostly stuff like Harry Potter, Kim Possible, Batman fanfictions. Lord of the Rings wasn't... I just couldn't imagine myself reading something from that universe from anyone else other than Tolkien himself, you know? 

... did Tolkien write fanfiction? I guess that would be the Silmarillion huh ;D
