lecturing myself
Posted November 18, 2021 at 12:00 am

Ooh. okay. I mean. That's one way of looking at it :D

I think I have a very different relationship with money and income from my past self who was in her 20s at the time. I wouldn't have written Roomie's dialogue, when defending Lillian's purchase, quite the same as I did back then.

Though I still like the end of the first strip there, how Allan's bit of lecture is born out of his own worries in his own personal life. There are a lot of moments, I feel, when we try to lecture, or just rage yell, against someone and if we look deeper into it: it's us yelling at a part of ourselves we wish didn't exist.

But let's step away from the introspective tangent trap and revel in Roomie's serious faces, which we rarely see. She wants to defend her gf and (even though she could let her gf speak her own mind on things,) one could still find a little level of cute there.

gf means "guilty friend" what else did you think I meant

--> This is a rerun of the finished webcomic Go Get a Roomie! You can find these two strips in the old archive >here<!
