time warps and clothes

Ah, these strips both work well together, and yet don't, because of how fast they go from one to the other, without letting readers imagine a short time inbetween where Lillian would've told Roomie her dare.

That's something that isn't always obvious, in slice-of-life webcomics. There's been a few times when this happened in GGaR and it wasn't clear for everyone reading that there was a time lapse between two strips. There are probably ways to do it better than I did, small tricks that could work, though I've always wanted to stay away from having to write a narrative text going like "a few minutes later...". I think it's less immersive when reading a comic with those little texts. It's like suddenly reminding readers that you are, indeed, reading a comic. And sure, you don't need the reminder to know you are reading fiction, but sometimes you can get a feeling of immersion in comics that I'd want to protect at all cost.

But that's just me :)

--> This is a rerun of the finished webcomic Go Get a Roomie! You can find these two strips in the old archive >here<!
