Well! I feel like giving a few constructive criticism to my own past self, so here we go!

  • First panel: Roomie's posture. It's something that's done by many artists, and I fell in the same trap, though... well, I'm not saying it's always a bad thing but -- oh get to the point, Clover!-- The oversexualisation of certain poses. Pin-up style, you know? The character's back curved (in sometimes unrealistic ways), the lady woman female chest up and perky (in sometimes unrealistic ways), and the pose exaggerated as if she's always there for the male/lesbian gaze (always in unrealistic way) (or at least, that's not how I get into the shower, unless I have a back problem)
It's just not a natural pose, and I feel that unless you know what you're doing and know why you make it a sexy pose (is it necessary to the story/genre or completely gratuitous? Do you do this only with female characters, or everyone? Why or why not?) then I'll probably criticize the choice.
It's not just the oversexualization that I'm criticizing, to be fair. It's also how Roomie's arm is held up. Doesn't feel natural either. A bit stiff.
  • Second panel: The titty boob blur: I remember having that period in my artist life where I liked adding a blurry darker color to tits (and like a white spot on top of titties to make 'em shine). It doesn't look as good now as it did to me back then. Looks like her boob's been smudged with dirt or ink or something. Which, why not, you know.
  • Third panel: the way Roomie's face is facing the left side, instead of the right! I could've flipped those two last panels horizontally so that she'd be facing right and the flow of the comic strip would be more smooth to the readers. Though, the way I've made her face left like that, could be a way to mark the short time period that happened between panel 2 and 3... but now I'm just trying to find excuses for my past self ;)
  • Second strip: I've never really liked how Lillian's face turned out in this strip. That's it. End of criticism :D
