Roomie's way of presenting herself in that first strip is... pretty violent? haha. What I mean is, even if you can tell someone's not used to your lifestyle, confronting them with this sort of dialogue from the get go will only provoke them into further judgement. If I hear someone talk to me in such a way now, I'd interpret it as "wanna fight?" or at the very least "accept me how I am or fuck off". Which might provoke a conflict when there might not have been one to begin with (i don't like conflicts, can you tell?). Gently and respectfully introducing an unfamiliar place to someone new will probably win them over way easier :)

But sometimes you just don't have the patience, or you've identified so much with the place and what values you find in it that you want to impose its principles (aka: you) onto the Matt, regardless of his own boundaries. Which would be past Roomie's case!
